  • I'm still acquiring all the stuff I need before I do this but is this right?

Just got my new car a couple of weeks ago and this one really deserves being taken care of so I've been researching:

    1. Pre wash rinse- hose

    2. wash (2 buckets) and dry, chammy leather

    3. clay bar (occasional maybe once a year)

    4. glass

    5. polish

    6. wax

    7. interior

    8. Tire wet

    whats your list/ order?

Pretty much Ok, but I would rather replace chamois leather with a good quality Microfiber drying towel. Chamois leather may or can cause swirl marks, microfiber drying towels in my experience seems to be easier on paint, causes less swirl marks.

I would also include Ultimate Quik Detailer (or any meguiars quick detailer) for light dust removal, doing so will prevent too much dust accumulation. Doing it before dust buids up means you won't have to wash your car as regularly. You can follow up with a spray wax maybe once a week will in turn minimize doing regular wax jobs.

Claying can be done more frequently especially if your environment has a lot of contaminants.
