  • just realized those little black specs was tire sling...

I sometimes wash my sisters white Scion and my niece's white Jetta and later I would see little black specs along the door panel and I had no idea what they were. I thought it was pieces of concrete/dirt or something.

But the other day I washed and waxed the white Scion and shortly after, I drove it. I had just dressed the tires very heavily with gel like I usually do. When the car was then parked I saw the little black specs along the car again. That's when I realized it was from the tires. Moment of clarity! And I never noticed the little specs on my Tahoe since it is black. Also, later I did a search on the forum and saw other people had their tires slinging before.

Anyway, I never even thought that the gel from the tires would come off while driving. I haven't been wiping off the gel after applying it either but I will now let it sit for 10-15 minutes then wipe it off with a towel. Also, I have been using Black Magic tire gel because at the Walmart by my house they do not carry Endurance Gel.

Lastly, I am soon going to order a gallon of All Season Dressing and start using that for my tires. I like the look of it better than tire gels.
