I'm going to buy one of these steam cleaners but i don't know which one i should buy. They both are made by the same company but ones $130 and the other is $100.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the two?

Looks like one heats up the water while the green one dose not. my mom has the green one, I asked her how it works she said it works very well. My brother used it in his truck on the carpets and seats with great success. seems to be a great machine.

So I'm probally better off getting the black one since it heats up the water.

Bissell makes a few different models of the little green machine. I highly suggest getting one that heats...the black one pictured is a good one. I have a little green as well and love it. Do some research around your area there may be some cheaper ones...even bissell.com has some decent deals on them.

Are you looking for a steam cleaner or a carpet extractor? Those are small carpet extractors if your looking for a true steam cleaner you need to look at these http://myvaporclean.com/. Second are you doing this for personal use or professional? Ive had the autocare pro heat and they do not deliver much in the way of capacity or suction. If you are looking for a powerful machine that is compact look at the mytee s300 tempo you will be much happier with it. It does not heat the water up but I had and just put hot water in it and it worked fine http://www.detailing.com/store/mytee-tempo-upholstery-and-carpet-extractor-s300.html?SID=45b7305ba4a5c981a4d519378195a9ee these are more expensive but much better machines that will perform 20x better than any store bought machine.

                Re: steam cleaners

^^ it's mostly personal use and the odd client I have . I'm not looking to spend a lot of money as I don't do this full time... I detail 3 to 4 cars a summer cause I work 6 days a week at my job lol.

I thought these were steam cleaners... This seem the best to buy since It priced right and I've heard good things.

                  Re: steam cleaners

I have one, and they do a decent enough job, but certainly not a steam cleaner! It is just a decent extractor, for light-medium duty work.

Scott and rengande thank you for the link to Brissel website... I never even thought about going on their site.. Now that I've gone on their website I read what the difference is and I watched YouTube videos of it I decided to go with the black one.

                      Thanks
