  • Question about new "long lasting" tire shine sprays

Hey everyone, I had a question about these new tire sprays I see at stores that have car care products recently. I've been seeing their advertisements for quite some time.

These are made by different companies but they all claim that their tire spays and dressings stay on a tire no matter what the weather or driving conditions for one month or longer.

When I finally saw these they were right next to some MEGS tire products and from what I saw there were about the same price. Since I know, own and love MEGS tire dressings (I really love the endurance tire gel for a wet shiny look and for a matte finish I like to use MEGS natural shine, which is the same stuff I use in my car's interior plastic)

But about these other products that claim to last a very long time, has anyone tried them out yet and if so what were the results? Are they at least as good as MEGS tire products? Because if they are not I won't bother trying them out.

But anyways, feel free to let me know what you have experienced with these new ones if you have tried them out yet. Anyways, thank you for your time.

Re: Question about new "long lasting" tire shine sprays

I normally stick to meguiars products to, but one day i decided i was going to try a new tire shine,So i bought some Black Magic tire shine gel.

It has a nice shine to it,A little to much for me,It lasted about two and a half weeks for me, I drove through a rain storm twice.

It was really a nice product, didnt sling much,I applied a thin coat though, but all the dust and dirt sticks to it which i didnt like

pros-Nice tire shine for the money, dosent sling if applied right, last a while.

cons-everything sticks to it,I had to wipe my tires of after every drive.

Now I just stick with endurance aerosol,I let it sit for 10 mins, then i wipe with a dry rag to give the tires a matte look.

almost forgot to mention,Turtle wax came out with a tire shine called BLACK TIRE COATING,they say it dries to the touch but still looks wet.
Its like 12 bucks for a 7oz can.its like a flexibile clear coat for your tires,
they say its supposed to last for like two months.
I might have to try this myself

Hope this helps you,If you have any more questions just let me know
