Just like a lot of people here, I like to keep a bottle of UQD in the trunk of my car at all time. During summer there's no problem, but in winter the bottle might freeze. Is there any way to keep it from freezeing so I can still take it with me? I already thought of adding a bit of windshield wiper antifreeze in it, but i don't know if this is safe or if it would mess up the product?

Lower freezing point of UQD

I really never had a problem with my bottle if QD freezing in my truck. But of course I have it a Meguiars trunk organizer too. So I don't know if that might have something to do with it from freezing. I did notice the one time I left a bottle of Meguiars car wash soap in my trunk and it turned into almost a gel.

Re: Lower freezing point of UQD
I'm glad I don't have this problem lol...Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: Lower freezing point of UQD
Windshield wiper antifreeze usually has either some sort of alcohol or glycol in it, and that's not going to be good for performance of the product. Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot that can be done to prevent freezing of product during prolonged exposure to low temps. Just as storing thicker products (compounds, polishes, waxes) in the trunk of your car during the heat of an Arizona or Southern California summer can easily ruin them, so too will freezing temperatures damage virtually all of our products.Michael Stoops
