Hello all. How do you get water spots off chrome? Would scratch x or UC work or would it damage it? Also in another post I made I asked about water spots on my side mirrors and no one gave me a straight answer. So besides vinegar what else can I use on water spots on mirrors? I have tried the vinegar and it does get some of them off but there are a few stubborn ones. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Water spots on chrome...
Water spots are the minerals/ "stuff" left behind after the H2o has evaporated.
So using a compound would work and shouldn't damage chrome or glass.
A metal polish might be a better choice though.
For glass/mirrors I use Cerium Oxide and glass polishing pads but you can get some decent results from a compound too.
Just remember be gentle and get more aggressive as needed.
