  • Feel like this is a dumb question...

I have a few scratches here and there on my vehicle that I cannot feel with my finger nail. The paint is not swirled and I feel that a full correction all over the truck would be a waste. My question is could I just use something like scratchx or uc in certain spots of the truck or would it make it look weird?

Depends on the condition of the rest of the paint really.

If it has never really been cleaned up, then you would at least want to do the whole truck with some sort of cleaning product, even the UC applied gently, to even things out.

If it is all quite new/shiny, then fixing swirls in one spot wont be as noticable as an odd spot.

The worst case scenario here, provided you do everything correctly that is, is that you'll end up with a few areas on the truck that look shinier than the rest of the truck. Obviously if that happens the only real "fix" is to fully detail the entire truck.

yes. but like mike said you'll end up with shinny spots.
Do your spots and then when you have time do a panel at a time and eventually it will be all done.
