  • Ultimate Liquid Wax, for the record...

    A couple questions regarding ULW

    1. How is it applied? I've heard to let it dry to a haze and also to basically wipe on/wipe off. Which is correct?
    2. Does it get as "streaky" as some people say it does? And if so how do you prevent or minimize it?

Your two questions really do go hand in hand - you prevent the streaking by applying it in a thin coat to one panel at a time and wiping off right away. You can also follow the wipe off with a very lightly dampened microfiber towel using plain water. So lightly dampened, in fact, that you can actually just spray a mist of water into the air and let it land on the towel before wiping the panel.

Of course, the darker the paint the more likely you are to see streaking if there are any application issues.

Best of all, however, is that if you've recently picked up a new bottle of ULW you've most likely got the slightly tweaked formula that addresses this whole issue anyway.
