Recurring Hard White Deposit on Hood

A couple of months ago, I noticed what looked like a white splotch and drip line down part of the hood of my 2007 Honda Accord. I noticed this after going through a car wash, so I thought it was a bird dropping the machine had not been able to remove. I had my car detailed shortly thereafter and the issue disappeared temporarily. However, after washing my car the next month I noticed the same stain. I have tried OEM spray cleaner and even rubbing compound, but the stain is hard and crusty, and the only sure way to remove is to use a lot of rubbing (you almost have to use something as hard as a fingernail).

The deposit keeps recurring in the same area and is noticeable after using a car wash, so I am beginning to wonder if there is an issue with the clearcoat.

I park in an underground garage at my condo, although sometimes I park outside instead.

The carpark at my work has some mineral deposits that seep out from the concrete ceiling and leave a similar mark to what you have shown in the pic. In fact many underground carparks do leak and seep with water of some type and they can bring these types of deposits with them. They bond really strongly to a vehicle's paint.

I'd look up at the ceiling above where you would normally park, or on the ground of the car spaces. Chances are you will see similar deposits on the ground or ceiling.

well if it's on the surface and keeps reoccurring then check your parking spot.Looks like some kind of mineraldepositss as in some nasty water/liquid dripping on your car. To remove the crud. I would try a solvent like Tarmanator, sand, chip away with a plastic razor blade or the like, compound.
