  • Dried-up stain left by Convertible & Cabriolet Cleaner solution

    Hi guys,

Just thought I'd post a question on something that has been frustrating me all this while.

Couple weeks back, I cleaned up a couple of bird droppings on my black soft top with the Meguairs Convertible & Cabriolet Cleaner.
I sprayed the cleaner onto the top, rubbed it in and completely forgot about it as I proceeded to clean the wheels and interior.
The cleaner was not washed off with water and the top was exposed to the sun a couple of times.

Fast-forward to today, I've just spotted the dried-up stain left over from the cleaning solution - it kinda looks like dried-up sweat stains on a black shirt.
Does anyone have any good remedies to get rid of this stain? The top is now looking a little like a leopard with darker shades of black all over the top and its rather unsightly.

    Thanks for the advice!

Well, probably should have been rinsed out of course.

But now, the solution may be doing a general cleaning over the whole top, to at least freshen things up and hopefully blend it together.

Thanks for the quick reply ive tried washing the stained areas with the same cleaning solution to no avail. The stain persists.

Should I rub the cleaner solution into the top and leave it to sit for a few minutes before washing it off with water?

Maybe Meg's APC + at 10 to 1 with a light brushing might take the stain out. Then maybe a vert top conditioner applied to entire top.

Well, I'm just thinking if the spots are now cleaner than the rest of the top, cleaning the whole top may at least bring it closer together.

I think RaggTopp makes a protectant.... not sure if that would help blend anything at all.

Just thought i'd do a minor update.... Cleaned up the whole roof. Sprayed the meguairs weatherproofer on the top but the stain remains. The difference in colour is minor but still visible in bright sunlight.
