  • Nano Carnauba Wax

I may have missed seeing this. Does Meguiar's make a nano size particle with carnauba wax?

I like the concept and a little goes a long way. I noticed Eagle One advertises theirs as a WOWO spray wax.

I think Meguiar's Ultimate Wax (Liquid, paste, and spray/quick) is nano carnauba. It has new thin-film wax technology if I remember correctly.

Meguiar's NXT 2.0 Wax is also nano, but it is a synthetic (no carnauba) wax.

You can't lose with either one of these. All I hear about both is how great they are.

No, no carnuba in those products. But they are the ones that spread the most.

I use the Nxt polish and like the results but I was curious about the nano evolution. Does Meguiar have a nano wax?

Not that is advertised as nano.... but not sure how meaningful that is either.

Hmmm, I think we are drifting from my original question.

"Nano" is just terminology used by certain companies. It doesn't really mean much.

What properties are you looking for? Do you want a spray wax?

I was hoping for a more straightforward response (y/n).

Here is a weblink about nano wax and the properties

I like the shine and protection of NxT but wanted more info on nano wax and and see if Meguiar's has something equivalent. I'll assume the answer is no. I am ok with it and have a family of Meguiars products (car wash, clay, swirlX, paint clearner, NxT and Yeallow carnauba 26). I just wanted to know if they had a nano wax.

Well, seems similar to some of the paint cleaners, as far as using micro particles instead of diminishing abrasives.

Dont know about the wax though. Although a polymer sealant should form into a large cross linked molecule, not something tiny.

                    Re: Nano Carnauba Wax

For me, the best judge of a product is how well it works / how it looks / how easy it is to use etc. Not whether it has a certain catch phrase in its name.

If you want to know whether Meguiars' has any products with the term "nano" contained in their name, then the answer is no.

No, we don't make anything at all with any sort of "nano" tech.

It's doubtful that any specific "nano" tech is what's making any particular product go a long way or not; it's the total formulation that dictates how a product performs, not just a single aspect of that formulation. We waxed an entire 2002 Chevy Camaro via DA buffer with 0.57 of an ounce of NXT Tech Wax a couple of years ago. Ultimate Wax, with its "Thin Film Technology" could most likely go even further than that; it feels like you can keep spreading it all day long, but there's nothing "nano" about it.
