Ok, my girlfriends dad parked his car at the airport for about 2 weeks. This was about a month ago now. When it was parked there the water and salt from the road and cars parked above him dripped down and made three huge spots on this hood. He washed the car and it didnt come out. Then he tried rubbing compound and it worked a little but he it not real good with working on cars so I dont think he really did it correctly. I just wanted to know how to remove this, if still possible without repainting the whole hood. I rubbed my hand across the spots and you can actually feel where its still really rough. Not sure if thats good or bad. I was thinking Wash, Clay, 83, and then take it down from there. I have a rotary with wool pads and a DA with foam, and a regular orbital, and am quite farmiliar with both. Any suggestions to get him out of this situation as cheap as possible?
Thanks a bunch.
