Can glass be safely polished using a DA polisher like the G110? What pads and techniques should be used? Thanks

Yes, you can use a 4" polishing pad with liquid chrome polish with DA set on speed 2 or 3. This will remove hard water spots and improve glass clarity. Tape off all the trim and molding prior to polishing. Move in the same manner as if you were polishing paint. Be careful, do not let the glass get to warm, it can cause minor marring of the glass.

I do it all the time. I use the yellow pad. Definately tape up the rubber or plastic to avoid stains.

As mentioned above, D/A polisher will be good enough to improve clarity and small imperfections.

For deeper problems, like glass scratches, you need a rotary buffer/ glass cutting disc and cerium oxide based product (like CarPro CeriGlass).

Beware of intense heat build up while polishing glass as it can permanently reshape it.
