  • Should I consider getting another wash wand/ sponge?

    Hello all!

Before I started detailing with waxes and what not I used to just wash my Car with something similar to the item in the link I posted (minus the water through handle thingie):

But now that I am much more aware of getting EVERYTHING off the car should I consider getting something else like this:

Or am I just fine using the wash brush?

    Thanks again for your time!!

If the bristles on that brush are soft enough to not scratch your paint, then it is ok.

Many brushes are very stiff though, and can cause swirling. So you will want to be carefull when picking.

I took a couple grout sponges, and put them in a couple of the Meguiars MF mitts and sewed them up to make a nice sponge.

I would suggest getting yourself a good quality MF wash mitt (but not the noodle type ones)..

Personally, I would never trust a brush, no matter how soft the bristles are, and a sponge is ok but still a higher chance of swirling compared to a MF mitt.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

just use a mf towel. that way you can use a new one or a freshly washed towel.
I don't understand dedicating one single item to multiple jobs and that doesn't get washed.
