    Re: hello to all

Generally, you would do a test spot with a mild combination, then go to a stronger one if needed. Once your test spot looked good, you can then do the rest of the car with the product that worked.

Generally, you would use the polishing pad (8006) for the M205, Ult. Compound, SwirlX type products, and then the finishing pad (9006) for waxing.

So for the cleaning step (swirl removal), you would tend to use the 8006 pad, but changing between the different products.

Really, if you have a mild cleaner (SwirlX or M205) and a strong cleaner (Ult. Compound), you would cover most situations, without having to buy lots of extra things.

        Re: hello to all

As you are working on the car, after every panel or so, it is good to use a terry cloth towel to press into the pad as it spins to clean it off some.

Then when you are done, you can use some dish soap and water and work the soap into the pad, and then rinse/squeeze it out, etc. Just be careful not to get the glue for the velcro too wet. Although you can always re-glue it if it came loose.

For tires, I like to use something like All Purpose Cleaner to clean them with, then I will use a dressing, like one of the Hot Shine tire sprays if I feel like it.

Some people will use Westley's Bleche White for stronger cleaning. You can also use a Brillo pad on white walls/lettering to clean them.

Not sure what buffer you have, but on the G100/110 kind, generally, you want to work around speed 4-5 for cleaning, and then 3 or so for polishing (pure polish, like #7) and waxing.

You want to upload the pictures to your gallery here, and then copy and insert the link using the little insert image icon at the top of the reply box.
