  • Whart is the best protectant against scratches

My wife's friends wear rings or have hard fingernails. Every few weeks I have to rub out scratches behind the door handles of her White Pearl Mitsubishi Outlander.

What product is the most resistant to these objects?

No product will guard against rings and fingernails, only thing you can do is "train" people to be careful....when opening doors

Clear bra is apply ed to your higher end cars all the time to prevent this.
Also Opti Coat 2.0 will also do the job.

Yeah, something similar to the clear rock chip guard they put on the front end would likely be the best thing.

Everything I've read about Opti Coat says it can still be scratched. It may resist light scuffs etc but wouldn't stand a chance against something like a ring.

I agree about the clear bra material..

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

              Opti Coat will resist scratches.
Once it's bonded it will take 20-30 mins with a DA to break through it.
So a finger nail is no match.
For this type of aplication I would put a few more then one coat on, then your problem is solved.
Also, it's a cheaper alternative to a clear bra aplication that you can do yourself.
