  • How do you clean a matte vinyl-wrapped car?

Just curious what you guys (would) use. I'm thinking Last Touch or maybe M135, but am not sure if it will cause problems.

Just use a non silicone non wax quick detailer to wipe her down and your good to go.

On the bottle it says adds gloss so i would do a test spot to make sure it will come clean

it's vinyl. don't use anything that will dry it out. Last touch has some silicone in it so it shouldn't dry it out. I could come by and take a look at it and try some products out for you.

Re: How do you clean a matte vinyl-wrapped car?

The link Nick gave should definitely help you out. We've got a few matte vinyl wrapped vehicles here at the office and they're actually very easy to take care of. Any good car wash soap will work great, and any spray detailer we make works well on them, too. Even Ultimate Quik Wax and Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere are fantastic on them, and neither adds a huge amount of gloss but rather just restore a nice satin sheen to the finish. If you spray the Ultimate Quik Wax onto a towel and wipe onto the vinyl you won't have any streaking issues to worry about and you'll have excellent control over the application process. We've done this more times than we can count and never had a problem. In fact, we know of many, many people who have used UQW and UWWA on matte black paint and love it.

How do you clean and protect printed vinyl (or whatever plastic it is)?

The white part of the doors is showing lots of hand prints that don't come off just washing.

An APC should do the trick to clean any dirt. Then put a dressing on it to protect it.
Here's a neglected truck I did a few months ago.
I use Tire Shine from Croftgate as a one step. It has a cleaner in it and protectant.
