    Meguiar's Ultimate Compound need help

    Hi
    i bought Meguiar's Ultimate Compound on autozone 1 week ago and this compound doesnt say anything about clear coat safe and it doesnt say clear coat safe like other Meguiar's Ultimate Compound i see on Meguiars.com
    i check back panel and it say this was made is 2002 which is 10 years ago and on the website Meguiar's Ultimate Compound made in 2008 with clear coat safe label on the front
    i need to know if my Meguiar's Ultimate Compound is clear coat safe even it doesnt say

    It will be clear coat safe I didn't think uc was around 10 years ago are you sure its not a copyright date?

      Date Coding Format: Example: L8121JMWC manufactured November 12, 2008
      First letter denotes month, A=Jan. B=Feb. (skip letter I). Next number denote year, 8=2008. The next two digits represent the day of manufacture The last number represents the batch of the day (1 would be the first batch produced). Next four letters denote line manager initials

      my is D2042745F which is April 04 2002

        A forum search will show this has been brought up before, the product is clear coat safe when used as directed. Your interpretation of the label may be off since the product didn't exist in 2002.

            It is certainly safe.

            Not sure how the code works out, but the product is only a couple years old at most.

              thanks guys i just used Ultimate Compound and then Ultimate Wax Liquid
              took me 1 hr and 30 mins by hand
              first when i used Ultimate Compound it was hard to get it off and then when i used Ultimate Wax Liquid it came out so easy and my car looks great
              Ultimate Compound didnt do much next time i need to buy DA Polisher

                Yeah, removing swirls by hand is tough, even if the paint is easy to work on.

                The product does need worked in a good bit of passion when just used by hand... so if cleaning and waxing a whole car in 1.5 hours, I could pretty well garauntee it wasnt worked in enough....
