Hello everyone! I am new here and this is my first post, so I hope you go easy on me for such a basic question. I just finished the Dawn wash and I'm ready to clay. I want to know if I can clay my car tonight with the Meg's clay kit and wait until tomorrow to wash it before I polish. I am not sure if it wil be ok to leave the clay/detail spray residue on the car overnight or not. The car is a 2007 Acura TSX silver. If weather makes a difference, it will be near 40 degrees tonight, but the car will be kept in the garage. Thanks!

Re: Question about claying
No need for Dawn... just use a good car wash soap.
When you do the claying, you will want to keep a MF towel with you so you can dry each panel when finished, then move on.
If the car stays clean, you could also just QD spray it again tomorrow (i you have enough QD left) instead of re-washing.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Question about claying
Murr has it pretty well covered, so there isn't much I can add. When you are using clay, wipe each area dry after the claying process and you're ready for your wax without any additional prep. If you let it sit overnight, a light fogging with QD is all you need to catch any residual dust.

Re: Question about claying
Just FYI, you don't have to use your QD to clay. Put a couple drops of car wash soap in a spray bottle full of water and your good to go. Will save you some $$.Dr. Detail: I am the detail genius from the movie "Shine."

Re: Question about claying
Nothing really to add other than another option of claybar lubricant. Used ONR as a lubricant on my 2012 Mustang a number of times and it worked fantastic while still being cheaper than dedicated QD spray. Probably more $$ than using sopay water but you don't have to worry about a sopay film drying on the car either.2011 F150 5.0L 4x4
