Ordered some of the main lineup of 2012 products from the National Megs supplier, and got them yesterday, as I just haven't been able to find them anywhere, and really wanted to trial a couple of products as I chip away getting the HSV ready for an important upcoming car event for us (ie: the mrs who owns the car, and me)
Apologies, the photos aren't the best, as the light was starting to drop as I didn't want to work on the car during the heat when I got home, and it's a cell phone camera.. The car also isn't in totally perfect condition, as she's never had any professional detailing to my knowledge, and well... the mrs daily drives her, because, well, she believes in enjoying her car as much as she can rather than saving her for weekends... lol... Although I sometimes shudder at the thought, knowing the state of our roads after so many earthquakes in our city the last two years...
Anyway, basically, I'm going through the car a panel or so a day, giving her the clay and 3 step treatment, and the windows I've been attacking with UC (after some research on here), as there are probably years worth of water spots..

After working the front corner on Wednesday, and the driver door yesterday, I tried UWAWA for the first time on these panels and the rear door (car last given a wash last weekend), which worked a treat. And then just for curiosity tried some UQW on the front corner, and GCW for the first time on the driver door. Hard to tell any real difference in the results, but will have a look tomorrow when the sun comes out. The rear door also got the clay and 3 step treatment today. Will be the turn of the rear corner tomorrow..
Also tried the Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner for the first time. Hard to say if the results are any better than anything else I've ever used as I still have more window spots to deal to, but it certainly didn't have any streaking issues like supermarket brands I've tried in the past.
The one product I am really happy with so far is the Brake Dust Barrier... really need to reassess things in a week or two, but I washed the right side wheels with the All Wheel Cleaner yesterday, and then followed up with the BDB as instructions... I noticed later on how slick the wheels looked. Gave them a hose and dry today (the dirt and dust was returning already) and they look as good as they did yesterday.
