Hello all. Wanted to know if anyone has used the DA polisher on a 2012 Black Mustang.

Sure have..... what do you want to know, specifically?

What's the current shape of the paint on your car? What experience level do you have with a DA buffer? What liquids and pads do you plan on using?

Hi Michael, thanks for responding so fast. The current shape is that is has swirl marks. I'd say light to medium. I attended a class of yours recently so I am a newbie with the DA. I used the UC with a yellow pad and went over the area with one applicatio and it seems to have done a great job. After that I used the black pad and used the UW. But now I noticed in the sun, there are several light scratches that weren't there before. Not swirls, but very light scratches. The have a slight curve in them, they are not straight. I figured I must have put them in just can't figure out how.

Welcome to the world of black cars! You probably instilled some scratches whilst washing the car. It's not hard to do (even with the correct technique if your paint is on the delicate side). I take it you use the 2 bucket method with grit guards?

You could always hit the problem areas with UC again and then re-wax...

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Yeah I am doing the 2 bucket method with the guard and something must have gotten on the mitt. I will hit it again, I'm sure it will just take a little more attention. BTW I can really relate to your sig...
