    Re: Opti-gaurd

Opti-Guard was only released to professional detailers over 2yrs ago. It was later tweaked for easier application and released to the general public as Opti-Coat. Today there many companies that have released their own coatings. All of them are a true physical layer on your car's clear coat, can't be removed chemically. It would have to be polished off or deteriorate over a really long period of time

If this product cannot be removed easily, this should be applied only by a professional detailer. I am surprised that I did not see this locally in Toronto.

You are correct, this is a professional grade product. It requires the paint to be prepped and polished for a level surface before applying. It's something that would have to be ordered.

Yes the opti-gaurd supposedly dries faster and harder than opti-coat and yes have to be polished of with a machine but I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with either product and if it offers anywhere near the benefits they claim. And just a fyi its a wipe on and off type of process similar to wax followed by a curing period of about 24hrs
