  • Using APC+ on Cloth Seats - Detailing Tonight Please Help!

    Hi All,

Tonight I'll be using APC+ to help a friend clean the cloth seats in his 2002 Accord. It's not crazy dirty, we just want to clean it up and leave a nice finish. I've heard different instructions regarding proper usage. I planned to do this:

    1) Using 10:1 diluted APC+, spray dirty areas
    2) Let dwell shortly, then agitate with a brush
    3) Dry the area using a terry or mf towel

How does this look? I do not have an extractor. Does the APC+ need to be wiped away using water? Or is drying using a towel fine?

    Thank you so much!

Sounds about right. I may use a wet towel then a dry one to blot.

I like to spray it onto a mf towel and then apply to the seat and scrub it in. Sme newer materials are extremely finicky and not fun to work with, even with stronger dilutions of APC, but with the being a 2002, you should probably see really good results.

Since you mentioned that the seats aren't crazy dirty, I would start by spraying onto a towel first, and then if that isn't successful, you could try spraying directly onto the stained areas of the seat, and the agitating with either a towel, or soft brush.

As for finishing up, I would wipe away with a damp towel (water only) and then maybe follow that with a dry towel if you feel like it is still quite wet. Let us know how it goes.

I use APC+ all the time on cloth seats but i never hurts to do a small test spot just to make sure. I spray on the area and either use a towel or brush to agitate then a towel with warm water to do a wipe then shop vac to **** it from the material.

I use the same process with a professional carpet cleaner and it works good too. Sorry guys, what is APC. I'm still learning the abbreviations. Think I want to try some of this product.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. Since it gets dark early and my friend lives in an apartment complex, we only had time to complete the outside using UWWA. What a great product!

Will probably do the interior today using APC+. If anyone has additional advice, please post, it's appreciated.
