  • Vinyl conv top detailing with Por-Glo

I did this Fiat top with 2 coats of Por-Glo and it looks great:

Then I did the same on a '98 Mustang:

Notice all the streaks and uneven shading. How can I get it evened out? Do I have to do more coats?

What was different with regard to condition of these two tops before you applied the product? Was the Mustang top fully cleaned before applying the Por-Glo? It could be down to very different porosity levels in the vinyl on these two tops, or the effects of age/prior maintenance on the two tops.

Both were cleaned the same. The Mustang top may be aged more though. Does M make a similar product? A vinyl coating that would last months instead of a dressing that lasts a week or two.
