there is car in our family with stupidly soft paint, the car is a ten year old red single stage, suzuki. the paint is so soft that it would make my pad red whenever i would use gc on it. i tried meguiars cleaner wax on it by hand, the pad got red with paint and the paint on the car became too hazy. we tried some ultimate compound on it by hand and it failed. then i tried some glaze, (turtle hyper polymer), the glaze did not work well with a pad, in my frusration i tried to spead it a little with my hand and surprisingly the gloss becae excellent, then i went ahead and applied gc and voila the gloss was gone again. is there any way to make this paint co operate? btw i used liquid #26 on it and that worked, it did not remove paint

very sorry for the delay guys, first my computer got damaged and then it rained for three days. anyways here is the car. it is a 13 year old suzuki swift sedan with worse than normal paint, but we can not get it repainted as cars depreciate in our area if repainted.
in this pic you can see that the paint on the rear quarter panel has become whitish. the door next to it is repainted so you can judge how it should look,

gc dries up almost as soon as applied on this paint, i have number 26 liquid with me which works a little better. but there is a cheap wax available in our area called 'cosmic', it is very oily but contains very little caranauba. when i apply that as a base and then use meguiars waxes over it then it then they respond a little better. it also greatly reduces the water spots. when i use gc on this car the pad turns very red but using cosmic paint transfer is almost none.
the only two waxes it likes is #26 and cosmic. temperature in our area is near 40 degrees Celsius and the sun is strong, waxes dont last more than a week here

A pad turning red does not mean the paint is soft, it means the paint is single stage. So nothing wrong there. And the more of a cleaner the product is, (or more aggressive the applicator) the more it will turn red.
It looks to me that it is the oils that you need.
Do you have any products like the Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze there? Or #80 Speed Glaze?2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

And Murr1525 is right. To bring back the Gloss you need M07 (I use M05, M05 tends to be more forgiving in high humidity locations (Karachi) than M07 is, otherwise they are similar.) . Use M07 librally (1 to 2 Coats) and seal it with ur Favourite LSP.

i tried #26 paste and it worked better than the liquid, i removed light dust with mothers QD and then applied #26, almost negligible paint transfer. depth is fine but i think i wont get reflectivity without abrasion

It looks like good results, but only lasting a few days can be a sign of paint that is getting a bit unstable.
Hopefully it is just your environment being rough, but never know.
Do you have anything like DC Polish or #7 to use after the #205 on a test panel?2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

You need to use a product with some level of abrasive to truly remove the oxidization, then you can add the glaze as an option before you wax. This means using something like M80 or M83 with a bit of passion behind the application process. But as Murr points out, if the paint is very badly aged and has been neglected over the years it may well be a case of needing to stay on top of it much more often than you would on a newer paint system. But if you can bring back this level of gloss and clarity with just glaze and wax, we would think that a more aggressive product (and M80 & M83 aren't super abrasive but a definite step up from M07) would offer longer lasting correction.Michael Stoops

there is another car, same paint, same age, same make and model in my area, that car is treated with farecla compound and then some sealant (some uk brand), but to get that car looking good so much paint had to be cut that in some areas primer was peeking out, the paint got a little hazy after application of that sealant but the sealant wore out in around 4 months so now he tested meguiars #21 sealant, it looked good with that,
but i think if i try m80 on my car i will get better results with less paint coming off. ill try importing m80 and m7 soon..
btw is it just my feeling or paint finishes with less oxidation hold the effects of wax longer?
