  • Soft top on a caddy

I have a buddy whose car I'm going to detail in November after I feel comfortable that his newly painted trunk has fully cured. He has a soft vinyl roof on it and was thinking of either using APC or the #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner. Any opinions as to which might be better? Also I was going to dress it with the D163 Trim and Tire Gel or would #40 be a better option there? Is D163 something that can be applied by DA on something like the roof of a car (I don't see why not)? I know it's kind of hard to diagnose without any pics so sorry for that!

    Don't use power tools!
Use a soft brissel brush, boars or horse hair works fine.
APC is a strong cleaner so don't start with that.
#39 is what I would use and that should be enough.
#40/38 will be my choice also but use as little as possible, so it doesn't run and doesn't look like a "heavy" coating.
