Re: M205
If you use M205 with a rotary buffer and a light cutting/ polishing pad it should be able to do so (speed 1200-1400 rpm) but it will also depend on paint hardness and holograms depth.
If used with a D/A polisher it may not be able to fully correct the issue and a step up to more aggressive liquid may be needed (SwirlX, ScratchX 2.0, D300 Correction Compound or Ultimate Compound).

Re: M205
M205 was designed to be a finishing polish used as a follow up to M105 when removing sanding marks. It's normal to get some degree of hologramming when using a powerful compound and wool pad, but how severe those holograms are will depend on the compound, pad, paint, and operator skill. M105 and our W5000 double sided wool pad can finish out remarkable hologram free, but you still need to use them properly.
If the holograms you're dealing with are really deep, meaning they were put in by an old, dirty wool pad that was spinning at extreme speed and up on the edge and a very aggressive compound was used (especially a diminishing abrasive compound that wasn't broken down fully) then you may need to adjust your use of M205. Light holograms can usually be corrected with M205 on a foam finishing pad with the tool running at 1000 - 1200 rpm. Heavier holograms may require a polishing pad, more speed, or both. But in either case, it is critically important to keep that pad as flat as possible against the paint and move it slowly over the paint.
If you have a DA buffer, however, you may find Ultimate Compound on a polishing pad speeds through any hologram very easily.Michael Stoops
