Hi guys, I am a new detailer and want to make sure that my vehicles paint stays in such a good condition that it is a representation of the quality of my work. I use products like ultimate car wash, show car glaze and yellow paste wax as well as claying but I have noticed that I have a ton of scratch marks in my paint and I want them out. So here is what I tried: After washing and claying I used my high speed buffer with a finishing pad with swirl remover 2.0 at about 1200 rpms and it did not work. so then I used my polishing pad at 1500 rpms and the swirls went away but it left holograms so I bought ultimate compound and planned on using it tomorrow. Can you guys give me some advice on how to remove all of these scratches and holograms? should I do it by hand? I also have a DA polisher coming this week. should I wait til i get it and use it to do the job? any and all advice would be more than appreciated! People look at my paint and say my car looks great but when I look at it all I see is swirls lol
