Just wondering what would be a better product to use on exterior trim like textured black plastic and rubber moulding around windows. I have the D163 Trim & Tire Gel but was thinking maybe Ultimate Black. What is better in terms of appearance, longevity and running when it gets wet?

    Re: Exterior Trim

I have had decent results with D4510 Plastic & Vinyl Coating on the textured plastic on my Ranger. I haven't tried in on rubber moulding however. I've never had a problem with it running from dew or rain.

I think Ult. would be a good option, or the above.

Really though, it comes down to your plastic, or the ones you are working on. I have like 5 kinds of plastic/rubber... some like dressing, some dont...

What works for me may run for you. Or I may need to wipe excess, and you dont... just have to try.

I have been using Ultimate Protectant on my trim and it works well and does not seem to run after getting rained on.

On plastic, your D163 is great, remember less is more. It does not take much product to get great results. For your rubber M40 as it is for rubber
