  • The detailing process is finished...or not?!

So, i am new to the detailing world and as i'm from Brazil we lack information regarding detailing products and proper training.

After a LOT of reading and online researching, i did my first work as a test on my 2002 MK5 Ford Fiesta wich had a pretty beaten up paint and i have used the following products:

    1 DWT OP13-180TV
    1 W5000 Wool Pad
    1 W8207
    1 105
    1 205
    1 Synthetic Sealant 2.0
    1 Carnauba Wax
    1 #34 (Amazing product)
    1 Sanding paper (1500)

I did the whole process in the following order after proper washing and sanding the car:

    1) W5000 + 105 (~ 1200-1300 rpm)
    2) W8207 + 205 (~1400-1500 rpm)
    3) Synthetic Sealant

Waited a day and in the next morning:

    1) #34 (used as pre wax to remove any dirt)
    2) Carnauba wax

And the car was done. I was actually pretty amazed by the results i archived, the car looks spotless (besides some deep damages that i really don't know how to fix)

Now the really big question that i have...how can i maintain such finish for the longest time possible? Can i use #34 on a regular basis or it will end up removing the wax/sealant?

I'll be glad to hear any tips from you guys, even about the detailing process.

Thanks in advance for your attention

You might be better off maintaining with UQD and UQW..

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

The best thing would to use some sort of a spray wax after future washes.

Depends on what you can find, but the Gold Class Spray Wax, Ult. Quick Wax, or the D156 Synthetic Spray Wax would be good choices, esp the last two.

Can use them after drying, or while finishing drying.

But wouldn't be the same as using the carnuba wax again, only a bit quicker?

And what about #34 (Final Inspection), can i use it on a regular basis or it will end up removing the wax/sealant?

          Well, quicker is the point.

#34 can be used often, but will not leave any of its own protection behind. It if good for removing light dust, bird droppings.. or some will follow up a car wash with it to get any spots.

Touching the paint with anything will remove wax... #34 will remove as little as possible.

Thanks for your help my friend. I'll try to find Ultimate Quick Wax here!
