Re: need advice on new red vehichle
Yeah, why the UC every time?
Do you have defects to remove? How much effort are you working it in with?
I mean, if used gently every time, it wouldnt really matter. But you wouldnt be getting the extra polishing oils from something like Ult. Polish.
And most people who use different waxes would put the carnuba on top.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: need advice on new red vehichle
Ultimate Compound is a potent compound even if it feels a bit easier to use than old fashioned compounds, you don't or shouldn't need to use that every single time you detail your car. Ultimate Polish should be more than enough for the new car.. I would also put down a NXT 2.0 first before Gold Class Carnauba... Since you were used to black cars, black will give the best shine hands down vs. other colors.. Depending on your wants and needs, you can choose to leave out gold class if you want to bring out the brightness of red or apply gold class to increase depth, wetness and richness or red.

Thanks for allbthe help guys no I don't use uc everytime im just saying but also thanks for the heads up on the carnuba for top layer I didn't realize that lol I thought since nxt lasts longer it went in top haven't tried ult polish yet just cuz I didn't know if red qualified as a dark color or not but I know it gave incredible deep dark shine on the last car &I ur rite there's nothing like black when its clean thanks for all the help guys

Re: need advice on new red vehichle
Red is more of a warm color than dark... Carnauba usually enhances it by adding warmth, and make the red look richer and redder. That direction can be taken, although with NXT 2.0 or Ultimate Wax, you can add a little crispness and brightness to the reflections, with NXT 2.0 adding brightness and a different kind of glow to paint. Ultimate, is closer in looks to Gold Class, has superior protection and water beading.
Whatever you use, always maintain with a quick detailer and quick wax in between to keep it shiny and slick.
However, when paint has been prepped real well, you will hardly see any difference between the 3 megs waxes/sealants.

Re: need advice on new red vehichle
Some people will disagree with me, but in my personal opinion, I doubt you will actually see a discernible difference with carnauba on top instead of the NXT, or vice versa.
But, that said, where you really need to focus your effort is on the surface PREP before the wax. You should go for some Ultimate Polish to further refine the surface. By the time I am done polishing a car I don't even need a wax or sealant for it to look wet and glassy. The LSP is just the icing on the cake.
As for my red car, I like a final pass with Ultimate Quik Wax - and I will say it does make a noteworthy difference in darkening the paint.

Re: need advice on new red vehichle
thanks again for all the help guys i just did a full detail today this time incorparating ult polish and gotta say it did give it that extra pop i was looking to achieve. and believe me i found out the hard way a long time ago that inproper preperation of the surface makes everything a lot harder than it needs to be , as i said i had a black car and anyone with a black car knows dirty or clean u can see everything. when i first got the red car it was in pretty good condition and pretty well maintained just had some slight cob webs (nothing a quick once over with ult compound couldnt fix) but it just didnt have that extra depth of shine i was used to with black. but now it does. and i was out of nxt so i put two coats of gold class and i have to agree i didnt see any significant change. i was just debating using ult polish before because like i said on black it was worth the extra step but was unsure of red, skeptikal because i also have a silver escalade and used ult polish once or twice and got no significant gains but silver is a color that isnt hard to make look good but extremely hard to make great.

Re: need advice on new red vehichle
i agree also with the comments about ult q wax but now im intrugued because i saw the gold class quick wax but unfortunately cant find any in any store or auto parts or detail shop that carry meg products. does anybody know if there is any big differences between that and ult q wax? i have used a lot of the lines including mirror glaze and idk im just partial to the gold class line i mean it just is all really good stuff and has been good to all the vehicles i have detailed. but i like nxt too thats y i keep it around.

Re: need advice on new red vehichle
The Ult. is going to be more durable at least.
Either spray wax would be great to use after your next wash, or while finishing drying. Just a real light mist is all.
I dont know if the Nxt spray wax is still out there... definately dont want that.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
