  • Removing water repellent

    Dear all,

I think it is enough for me to deal with water repellent.

my wiper only lasting for 2 weeks, and it will skipped, make a noise, and sometimes stuck when I using it. I replace it with the new one, different brand, and after two weeks, it will show the same symptom.

Ok, I just want to know, ho to remove water repellent? I use clay, IPA, UC+DA, and none of them can permanently remove the water repellent.

Is there something I do wrong? Can you share? Nothing is wrong with my body panel, but not with my windshiled.

    Really appreciate your sharing.

    Thank you

What type / brand of water repellant is it?

I would have thought that the things you've already tried should have removed it.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

      Re: Removing water repellent

I used to have rain-x and meg's glass cleaner. I applied it not at the same time.

The other vehicle I use not show the same symptom, it just working well, and the only different is, I never put water repellent on the other.

I use clay and UC to clean water spot on both windshield.
