  • M156/M135 over Ultimate Wax

    Hi all,

Would applying the M156 or M135 over a coat of Ultimate wax deteriorate the coat or adhere/improve?

I normally apply Ultimate Wax after a clay+Last Touch. Then I typically follow up with a coat of Synthetic Xpress Wax (not M156) after 12 hours. But as a "booster", would applying M156 or M135 have a detrimental effect or no?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you mean D156 Synthetic Xpress Spray Wax?

I would say no. One of the primary properties of D156 and M135 is that they act as wax boosters between regular waxing.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

After 12-24 of first application, I would just give it a 2nd one.

You will not harm it any. I use Syn X Wax the next day to clear up any streaking left from ULW and it works great.

Is streaking with ULW a common thing? Would UQW the next day help to even it out?

Not to be too short, but sometimes and sometimes.

my mistake, yes I meant the D156 Synthetic Xpress Spray Wax. that's what I thought but I wanted to check in with you guys.

I also have the Synthetic Xpress Liquid Wax, which is the WOWO version of the D156. is that also safe to "add on" to a coat of Ultimate Wax after it cures?

Thank you again for the help and information

Sure it is, but how much of a layering effect you will achieve is debateable - i.e. you may remove some of the UW below it...

not so much trying to get multiple layers on each other since only so much would bond to the paint, but to provide complete coverage - making sure i didnt miss any spots and to keep the protection level up.

i actually ended up putting another coat of Ultimate Wax instead yesterday. the car hasn't been out of the garage since the last time I applied UW. I dusted the car off with Last Touch before applying UW.

Sounds good - exactly what I would have done in those circumstances.
