  • Need some advice on what I should use...

    Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to the car detailing. I was working on my car over the weekend using Swirl X but its not doing the job i hoped for. What do you think is best for this prob?

Left side is untouched and the right is after 3 passes with Swirl X.

You might want to step up to Ultimate Compound....stuff is amazing. That looks like oxidation to me.......?
    Black......the ONLY color!

I'm not sure what happened to the paint but it does look like oxidation.

SwirlX is very light duty and really recommended for just very light swirls. You've got some serious oxidation here that is going to require a more aggressive liquid, and Ultimate Compound is the next logical step up in our line. But........ it could also be that this clear coat is on the verge of failure, and that's not good. If it is that bad then even if you do make it look incredible again, it's going to fade back to this look in a matter of weeks, if not days. But if you correct it and wax it and it stays looking good well beyond that time frame, then it was just a case of oxidation and embedded dirt in the clear. Unfortunately, you won't which it is for certain until you work on it. But definitely step up to Ultimate Compound.

Thanks for your input guys. I hope its oxidation and not the clear coat.
