Wow, I just did bunch of reading up on them and watched Joe's video and a few others too, seems like a great tool, especially for removing overspray. A couple questions for you since it sounds and looks like you have definitely added it to your arsenal.

What the lube that you use to go along with it? In your picture it looks like a generic bottle, so just curious. Obviously its quicker and and saves you time, but it is a little more expensive than clay (although not too much), how many cars do you get out of a single pad, and has it replaced clay for you all together, or just on stuff like overspray? Finally, in the research I also found out about the Nanoskin Surface Prep Towel (which looks like the same technology, just in a towel form - and can be purchased through ADS) Have you used this one at all, and if so, how does it compare to pad. I am very much considering this as a possible way to cut down time on the paint cleaning steps without sacrificing quality. Thanks in advance for any further light you can shed on these.

Glad to see you like it.
I hate clay. I hate clay. I hate clay.
With being said. Yes it's replaced my clay.
I use water with a few drops of soap as a lube.
they say you can get 50 cars out of these pads. I belive you can get more than that.
I also have the towle and it comes in handy all the time.
They also have a pad for you hand which I'm gettting soon.
Rubber has been out for a few years now and I love it way more then clay.
no srcathing like clay can and if I drop it I'm not out 10 bucks.
I clayed this huge Exploer in about 45 mins. including the roof. with clay it would have taken twice as long and my arms would be wasted.

Probably would need the towel or regular clay even with the machine version, just for the odd contours, etc at least.

Great to hear the reviews. I'll probably go get the towel with my next ADS order and then find the pad somewhere else. I'll probably just keep some clay in case I need it for an odd job, but this sounds like stuff that can be a huge time saver and muscle saver. The fact carpal-tunnel syndrome runs in my family (ie weak hands and wrists) means it'll probably be better for my long term health too. If it really can do that many cars, then it'll be a huge $$$ saver too; thanks again so much for the tips and advice.

The towel will be easy to hold onto if nothing else.

Just remember they are more aggressive, so could cause a little swirling. Not a big deal if polishing after.

Yeah I figured I will definitely use it when doing a full polish afterward. If doing a AIO process like PRC after, should it take care of any minor marring? Or should I stick with clay when going this route of AIO?

Unless you were really gouging the paint, I would think any of the #66, PRC type things would be fine.

why are you saying it's more aggressive? Clay has done way more damage then rubber ever has. Also I've never got any swirls from rubber, but clay is way more agressive and causes scracthes constantly. clay blows. Rubber rules! imo
and the towle is hard to use on a flat surface and offten I use two hands, one for pulling and one for pushing. the towle, imo, is only for the places the pad can't reach.

                      Re: House paint overspray

Whats worse, a dude shooting white bathtub glaze from an airless was spraying with the screen off of a second story window. All of that over-spray rained down like white droplets of hatred for black vehicles. Bumper to bumper of my car was like the night starry sky on a clear night in Arizona. I tried everything, clays, towels, and so on. Only thing that really worked was wet sanding, but the factory orange peel was really coming out craptastically on my test spot.

After that, there was only one option.... My weapons of choice, were Megs Quick Detailer, and my finger nail. 15 hours later, most all of it was gone, and to this day I still pick off random spots here and there every time I wash it. Good luck my friend, and I hope you dont have to do this. Windows were easy, Quick Detailer, and a Visa Card.
