  • got Ultimate Polish in Cracks of car

I kind of let this stuff dry. How can I remove it from the cracks safely.. I was thinking of using a thin butter knife , but afraid I would slip and scratch my paint. Will this over time be wash away by the rain?

A quick detailer and a soft, used toothbrush. Try spraying the cracks and allow to soak in then gently and carefully brush off the dried product. If not, maybe a body solvent and again with a soft used toothbrush carefully and gently brush off the dried product. Whichever process you use, repeat if necessary.

Goldenlight, if you go with a knife use a plastic knife.

ffboy, I keep a baby's toothbrush handy to clean the edge of clear bras.

A knife wrapped in a cloth is more like it....

And yeah, wears off eventually, nothing damaged.

You can also try taking a microfiber towel and soaking it either in quick detailer spray or car wash solution and jamming it in the cracks and sliding it back and forth. For the deeper cracks, something along the lines of what Murr suggested could work as well.

Toothbrush or even tooth picks to get to the small cracks.

Try foam painting brushes. They come in all sizes and you can get them at Home Depot or Lowes. Much safer than a knife.

I to have a couple of used toothbrushes, luckily most of them are on the soft side. The harder ones I use for plastic/vinyl interior panels, particularly the tight spots or really tough dirt or grime used with an interior cleaner.

A good idea is to have most of the tools suggested here. Microfibers, quick detailers, toothbrushes, toothpicks and/or barbecue sticks, I wouldn't say using a knife is wrong but an alternative for that is to use some old thin plastic (maybe an old credit card like item or plastic ruler or even an old guitar pick and modfy it a bit to be more usable).

Popsicle sticks. They are made of some pretty soft wood and you can sand them down to an edge, point, etc by just rubbing them on the sidewalk.
