    QUESTION NO. 1

I just completed polishing the car with the M-80 Speed Glaze afer putting on the M-83 cleaner/polish . (Car has no clear coat)

The car looked great after using the M-83 cleaner/polisher. I set the buffer speed at 4)

However I did not notice any difference after using the M-80 Speed Glaze. (Started a setting 4 for two panels but after no visible difference I moved it to 5 - I might have also used more pressure than I did with the M-83 Cleaner/Polish

Since, I could not clean the yellow pad sufficiently I used the black pad to put on the M-80 Speed Glaze.

Could the use of the black pad to put on the Speed Glaze cause this.

    QUESTION #2.

At most I only put 3,000 miles on my car and the rest of time it is in the garage.

My first work on it has been:

    1) M-83 Cleaner

    2) M-80 Speed Glaze

Next I am going to wax it.

So after all of has been completed.

How ofter should I work on the car's exterior and what products should I use

    ????

    Re: Questions

    1. I am not sure what you mean by 'caused this'? If the #83 made the paint look good, #80 just might not have improved things much.

    2. You can use #80 for the regular details, #83 shouldnt really be needed. How often is up to you... If you use some kind of spray wax after future washings, sounds like it could last quite a while.

      Re: Questions

I went back to a previous thread I posted and see that the post stated polish should amp up the shine. So that somewhat answers my question, but I do not know exactly what "amp up" refers to.

Good to learn that the future maintenance is a lot less than what I have done - even without waxing. Us old farts get really worn out doing this.

      Thanks.

I am real slow - figured out what "amp up" means.

          Re: Questions

We'll have to get a translator into the 50's lingo....

And yeah, #80 (or other mild cleaner/polish, cleaner/wax, etc) then wax for a general detail, and just a spray wax for after (or while drying) your washes in between. 2 coats of wax would tend to be recommended during the detail, but up to you if you feel like it or not.

The paint is going to reach a limit of how good it can look, and then also how good you can make it look with the tools/products/experience/etc you are working with. So if one product got it most of the way there, a product after may not be able to push things much further.
