Problem removing polish from vinyl

I just polish the car with the Ultimate polish and Power Ball. The polish I put on the vinyl cover that protects the front of the engine hood is very difficult to remove. I rubbed and rubbed the vinyl with micro fiber towels and still can not get all of it off. Started rubbing the polish with my thumb and that helps some - but not completely.

Ideas???

Do you mean like the vinyl bra kind of thing? And you accidently got some on there?

Or a piece of plastic you were applying it to?

It is a piece of "vinyl" or something similiar that came installed on the hood. It is like a bra as it is to protect from rock chips.

Not sure if it makes a difference - it is black like the entire car.

Products like All Purpose Cleaner (APC), All Purpose Cleaner Plus (APC+), M40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/ Conditioner or M39 Heavy Duty Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner will help you remove any left residue on vinyl or plastic.

Use foam applicator pad (or soft tooth brush if needed) to agitate the area and wipe off to dry with a microfiber/ cotton towel.

I would to suggest masking tape those places in the future.
