Favorite Readily Available Car Wash

What's your favorite readily available car wash for your daily driver? What's something that cleans well and leaves a great shine but also protects? Is a wash/wax the way to go?

By readily available I mean stores like Walmart, Target, Auto Zone, Advanced Auto Parts, and NAPA.

I would go with Meg's Gold Class S + C.

I like Gold class car wash , it an awesome shampoo plus its also cheap

Ult. Wash and Wax is really nice.

But will get the best results from Gold Class followed by Ult. Spray Wax, and really takes about the same amount of time.

If you're aiming for Meguiars, you really only have three that are available over the counter:

Deep Crystal
Gold Class
Ultimate Wash & Wax

Of those three, I'd grab Gold Class.

I don't always use over the counter car wash soap, but when I do, it's Gold Class.

That's awsome! Having said that, i use Deep Crystal Car Wash. It smells good and does a good job cleaning. I am going to try the Gold Class when I run out of the Deep Crystal just to see if I should be switching. I see that a lot of people use the Gold Class

Gold Class Shampoo is probably the best OTC shampoo you can buy. Cleans well, leaves a great looking finish behind, and smells nice.

I use Ultimate...Dose Gold Class do a better job? Or is it just because of the cost?

Well, UW&W costs more becuase it has wax in it.

You would have to figure out the price for the amount of Gold Class and UW&W used together, plus the little extra effort.

Don't forget that UW&W is 25% less soap(than gold class), and the price difference is noticable
I really prefer to do like Murr says. using UQW after a gold class wash.
