  • Concours car - how to detail...?

    Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and and pretty new to car detailing full stop. I am based in the UK, and I have recently purchased a 1987 Ford Sierra RS 500 Cosworth in concours condition.

I would like to know which Meguiar's products I should use to maintain the condition of my car. The paint is in excellent condition, but I'd really like to bring out the deep gloss available on dark coloured cars without leaving behind the smeared looking residue I get with the resin polishes I use on my daily driver.

I'm also looking for a retailer of the products in the UK.

Any advice you have would be appreciated...! Some pics of my car below... :

    Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the kind comments guys, much appreciated. I wish I could take credit for the condition, but I have only had the car 3 days...! The lines on the exhaust are where the previous owner let some product run on to the pipe and it's gone brown when it got hot. It just wipes right off with WD-40. I'm not sure whether I will show the car yet, perhaps just the once, but as it's my baby I do want to look after her as best as possible - there's around 6 of these cars left in this condition Worldwide, so she's kinda special to me...
