  • #97 and #7

Up until recently I've been using:

    #97 Medallion Premium Paint Cleaner
    #7 Show Car Glaze
    #26 Hi-tech Yellow Wax

with pleasing results on my black car. I've now got a PC dual-action polisher, which has allowed me to tackle the 12 years of swirl marks I've accumulated. I'm using:

    #83 Dual-Action Cleaner Polish
    #80 Speed Glaze
    #26 Hi-tech Yellow Wax

What should I do with the #97 and #7 that I have left over? Is there any benefit to be had by including them in my new process?

Save them for your arsenal of detailing tools or share them with a friend and show this person how to use them.

The answer is, "Not really". The M83 and the M80 will work best as your paint cleaner/swirl remover in place of the M97. The M80 will take the place of the M07 Show Car Glaze because it is very rich in polishing oils.

After using these two products, you can follow the M80 with your choice of wax.

fyi, I used some MPPC by hand on an old 1991 camry last weekend. The paint was pretty dead. The MPPC by hand was amazing! Really cleaned up the dead stuff and deeply imbedded dirt.

        Hi Bob,

MPPC is a great product, I probably have 3-4 bottles of it in my garage, my point to black240sx is that now that he going to be using the dual action polisher, he's going to get better results by machine with M83 or M80, (depending on the severity of the defects), than with the MPPC. It would be a good idea to keep it in his arsenal for anytime he needs an effective hand applied paint cleaner also.

Medallion Premium Paint Cleaner is definitely a great paint cleaner.
