  • What to use to remove scratches?

I was wondering what to use to remove swirl mark's nad scratches. I have the PC and some pad's but what is the best pad and product to remove swirl mark's and scratches. And also what setting to put the PC on.

It all depends on how serious the conditions are. If you have slight to moderate swirls or scratches, you should try #80 and a W-8006 polishing pad. If the swirls are more severe, you will most likely need to step up to #83 and a W-8006 pad. This combination should then be followed with #80 applied with a seperate W-8806 pad. Finally 2 coats of NXT wax or any other sealant or wax you have access to should be applied.

For the polishing stages you should start your PC at about 3 and move it up to about 5 as the polish begins to break down. The trick with 80 is to not apply it too thickly and make sure that you do not "dry buff" (remove it while it's still somewhat wet). If you require the use of 83, be aware that it is more aggressive than 80 and will require more time to breakdown. Always work in 2x2 foot sections and inspect your work as you go. Hope this helps

The swirl's aren't that bad, but when you walk up to the car while light is hitting it you can tell that there is swirl's. I do have somw scratches on the car that I would like to remove.

If the swirls aren't that bad, you can probably get by with a couple passes of 80. To take care of the scratches you can apply scratchx by hand on those areas, then go back over that area with 80.
