Hello everyone, I'm very new to detailing and do not know much from lack of experience. I recently purchased a PC 7424xp along with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, Ultimate Polish and #7 Show Car Glaze. What wax would be recommended to be used after the glaze? I have never tried either of the two before.

Well you can use either one you want. Ultimate Liquid wax would be my choice as well as a majority of others most likely. Reason is becuase it lasts noticably longer than #26 would. I don't think you would notice much difference in the way of looks.
I also noticed you bought #7 and Ultimate Polish. Which do you plan on using?Always searching for the best....Keep it country!

That is my next question. Is there really much of a difference between the two? if not, I'm going to use the Ultimate Polish since I've read it works well with the Ultimate Compound.

Don't quote me on this, but I do not think the #7 was meant for being applied by machine. I think that is more for hand only application. But yeah, stick with Ultimate Polish.Always searching for the best....Keep it country!

You could do it either way. But most do the entire car with one product, then switch to the next. Saves the hassle of changing pads etc...Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Just to avoid any possible confusion, UC is worked onto and then wiped off one section at a time working around the whole car. NOT, working into the whole car and then wiping off. Same with UP and UW.
Just in case someone read this discussion and thought work UC into the whole car and the go back and wipe off. I'm just saying...

Yes, thanks for clearing that up. I didn't realise it could be read two waysOriginally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. Re: Ultimate Liquid Wax or #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax?
Ultimate polish would be better, although M07 has its charm. It has no cleaners, its a very oily product, depending on what you're after both products are important steps for that extra shine especially on dark or warm colors, and both will help in allowing the wax/sealant to adhere better to the paint.
For the person who doesn't like to wax too regularly, Ultimate Wax (liquid or paste) would be a better choice since it will have better durability and it works real well for dark colors and gives a nice crisp shine. Hi-tech yellow wax (M26) also gives a deep warm gloss to paint, its easy to apply and remove, but it just doesn't last as long as the ultimate or NXT 2.0, but on a newly corrected, polished or glazed paint it's almost impossible to see the difference between the 2 waxes.
