Hi there, this would be my very first post since I joined this forum. I've been lurker only and I could say that everything helps me to enhance my passion. I am a huge Meguiar's fan but so unfortunate that some of their products are not available here in the Philippines. Fortunate enough, my friend went home last January from US. So he brought me DA MF Correction system 5in starter kit. I was excited to try the products because of positive reviews from detailing world. After I finished the hood, everything turned out well. I was so happy and amazed with the product (as shown in the photo). Took a quick rest and started to work at the door panel. I noticed some flopping sound on the buffer and when I checked it, I noticed a pad failure. The velcro dismantled from the foam pad. I immediately changed it a new cutting disc. Again, I got a pad failure this time with the finishing disc. To cut the story short, I finished the job using an orange pad combo with the D300 and white pad with D301 just to compensate the losses I got with the MF discs. As shown in the photo, I have lost two cutting discs and one finishing disc. I am so upset because I really like it when used in the hood especially the D300 compound. I am thinking whether to change with Optimum MF pads because the products work very well except for the pads. Side note: Im using GG6 at speed 4 for cutting disc, speed 3 for finishing disc. Constant cleaning of pads using Megs pad brush.
Thanks bros, hope you can give tips and techniques as I might skip something on this job.
