  • light swirls in new paint

Three weeks ago i got my front end painted (stone chips) and i wash my car with wash bucket with grit guard and a good wash mitt and today when i finished washing my car i pulled it in my garage and dried it with a water magnet (meguris) and when i pulled it out and in the sun i can see very light swirl marks on my front bumper.

I have not waxed my car yet cause i am waiting for 30 days to pass before i do it.

My question is how do i prevent it when i did everything properly???

Maybe the swirl marks are already there from paint shop. Your wash removed some polish to reveal them. My $0.02.

Swirls are just a fact of life when owning a car. IMO you did everything the proper way it seems. Those could have been there from the shop or when you wash or dried your car. When doing a final rinse of your car try the pooling method. This will reduce the amount of drying that will need done.

Ya I always do the pooling method once I'm doing rincing the car. Probally next week I'll get the swirls out and wax my car... Hopefully I keep the swirls away.

        Thanks guys for your response
