I applied my first coat of NXT on my truck today, and it rained two hours after I finished. I think I read somewhere that I NXT needs time to cure. Will the rain have any adverse effects on the wax? Should I put on another coat tomorrow?

All waxes, (or paint protectant by any other name), need time to fully set-up assuming there is any protection ingredient of quality in the bottle or can to start with.Originally posted by radkonn

In a perfect world, no water or any other substance that could be considered an adulterant would be introduced to the wax coating between applications, but we don't always live in a perfect world. Sometimes, the best you can do is the best you can do and in your case it rained on your best. Don't sweat the small stuff, like Boss_429 said, go ahead and apply your second coat but either wash the car or wipe it down with a quick detailer to insure there is no dirt, dust or other contaminants deposited by the rain or by air since you applied the initial coating.Comment
