I remove products by hand. I have polishing and finishing pads, depends on what condition the car is in is which one I use. I usually buy an assortment from ADS.

I just got a DA buffer as well. I got one soft buff 2.0 yellow polishing pad for using Ult Compound and 2 soft buff 2.0 black finishing pads, one for Ult Polish and one for waxing (I use NXT 2.0 as well). You do not want to mix products on pads, using Ult Compound and Ult Polish on the same pad for example. One pad per product is the general rule, and don't forget to clean them on the fly to reduce product build up. Good Luck!

Pads are used for the application of product only, not removal. A simple wipe with a microfiber towel is all you need for product removal. We would suggest that you have at least 2 of our W8207 Soft Buff 2.0 yellow polishing pads for the Ultimate Compound and 1 W9207 Soft Buff 2.0 black finishing pad for the NXT Tech Wax 2.0

Soft Buff 2.0 are made to work with the W68DA backing plate that ships with our G110v2/G220v2 DA buffer. They are also machine washable while our original Soft Buff pads are not.

You don't need to use the microfiber pads, but they are a great additional weapon to have in your detailing arsenal. The DA Microfiber System is very aggressive, though, and should not be used for routine, light to moderate swirl removal in most cases.

The So1o System was designed as a one liquid, multi pad system for use with a rotary buffer only. The foam pads can be used with a DA, but you should never use wool pads with a DA as they are very aggressive and with the motion of a DA tool you'll end up creating a spectacular amount of haze (not a good thing!)
