I don't know about the the terry cloth or blades for drying. I do know that I just picked up:
    Water Magnet Drying Towen

    and it is AMAZING!!!

As for the Polishing Cloth, I believe it is mainly used for removal of products.

High quality 100% cotton towels with the label removed and the decorative edges and stitching removed will work fine for drying. However, the new WW towels are also excellent for this purpose. If they are washed properly prior to using, it will reduce the linting associated with cotton towels and dry just as well...... and as safe.

I'm not a big fan of any of the drying "blades", but others use them with success. If you use one, make sure you have a reasonable amount of water on the paint surface. You don't want to drag them across a "dry" paint surface.

I like using the Ultimate wipe for removing waxes and sealants. They also can be used with polishes and cleaners. Still, I prefer a MF with a little more knap for removing some polishes. Some of the new Meguiar's MF will probably fit the bill nicely!
