Re: Alternative Drying methods
I never thought of it that way.....more reason for paint correction!! ............on my wife's van

I did try to educate them about detailing as much as I know except the youngest one. I don't think she hear anything I said, she is off to play with the soap bubble.
Well, I was hoping they will be hopeful in long run. Let wait and see it work! I will report back in couple years!

"Yet"
We've seen it happen plenty of times, so just be aware.

Re: Alternative Drying methods
I use the T-Bar Waterblade to start. I don't know why people say it cause marks and streaks and stuff, it hasn't done that on my car. It pulls most of the water off then I dry the rest with a basic MF dring towel. And like above, I don't need to be perfect with drying because I use either UQW or UQD after.

Re: Alternative Drying methods
Are there any cons of using a chamois drying the car? Would that lessen the life of wax on your paint?

Re: Alternative Drying methods
Just purchased a leaf blower on sale for $40 for this purpose. Haven't used it yet, but I figure it is one less time I have to touch the paint. I used to do the pooling method with a water magnet.

Metro Vac Blower and a pat dry. Hose sheeting (Pooling or w/e it's called here) is also a damn good one. My method is completely dependent on the car.

Re: Alternative Drying methods
I am lucky enough that I have help from my 3 kids. Although my youngest one is more playing, we dry it in no time with ton of MF towels.

The reviews say you are supposed to keep it moist. How? Do you dip it in water before drying?

Re: Alternative Drying methods
After I gently rinse the car down with the nozzle off I use the Water Magnet on the paint and a chamois on the windows and it works well. I used to use a chamois on the paint as well which I found works the best but I don't know if it might scratch the paint. And I will try a leaf blower soon to see how that does. Also, I always use UQW after drying so my drying technique does not have to be perfect.
