Does the W-67DA fits the older model DA Porter ???

i have a 8 years old Porter DA,not sure which model right now with 6.5 in back plate,I want to get the 5 in back plate does the W-67DA fits my model ? Asking because most forum states that this back plate is only for Meguiars DA.

Yes, the W-67DA will fit the older (1st generation) Porter Cable DA. I have the 1st generation PC and I use the 67DA with the microfiber pads. It works great. Thanks.

We'd love to see where this is stated on another forum, because it just doesn't make any sense. All versions of the Porter Cable, as well as all versions of our DA and all versions of the Griot's Garage DA and other similar tools all use the exact same size fitting for backing plates. Any backing plate that will fit on a Porter Cable, Meguiar's, Griot's or similar will fit on all the others.
